The Taliban captured Kabul on August 15. At the time, it was known that President Ashraf Ghani had left the country to escape the Taliban. He is now based in the United Arab emirates.

Recalling the day the Taliban took over Kabul, Ashraf Ghani said, "The Taliban fighters were not supposed to take over Kabul. But after a couple of hours, there was a clash between the two sides of the Taliban. This is the beginning of the crisis.

In the words of the former president, "the two sides of the Taliban were receiving two kinds of instructions from two sides. The situation reached such a stage that a clash between the two sides could have destroyed a city of 5 million people. Many people would have died. '

Ashraf said many people close to him had left Kabul. His wife was also on the list. His national security adviser also left. But he was waiting for a car; Which could take him to the Ministry of Defense.

That car never came back. Instead, the national security adviser returned the president's security chief in a state of "panic." Ashraf Ghani was then called; If he were here, they would 'kill everyone.

"He (the security adviser) did not give me more than two minutes," said Ashraf Ghani. My instruction was to prepare for the city of Khost in the country. He told me; Khost and Jalalabad have been evicted.

'I still didn't know where we were going. When the plane took off, it became clear that we were leaving Afghanistan. It happened very suddenly. '

President Ashraf Ghani is now in the United Arab Emirates, Mohammad Zahir Akbar, ambassador to the Afghan embassy in Tajikistan, told a news conference after Ashraf Ghani left the country. He left with about ৬ 18 million.
